I usually don't have as many problems with the commenters on DA as some people I hear around (lack of a fantard army helps, but I also think my self-reliant aura and serious-lack-of-animu-attitude scares most of the tards away, not like I am complaining) but the few things that I do have irks with seem to happen often enough for me to get annoyed.
One of the most annoying things is when people randomly (and usually very rudely) tell me to spend more time on a piece or to finish it more or that I should upload more worked out illustrative pieces (never asking my why I don't or just generally excited about when my next big illustrative piece is going to be done).
I am an animator at heart, for one, I don't like sitting in one spot for more than three or four hours to do one picture and if I get up and have to come back to it, I probably won't finish it. I am lucky I finish anything at all. I am constantly drawing but it's usually sketches and junk that I don't bother uploading on DA. And when I am at school? HA good luck getting any personal work out of me.
It was especially annoying when I was doing those THOUSANDS of sketch commissions for people and had to upload them for the commissioners and people were complaining about how I "don't color anything anymore". 8| DUDE. They are SUPPOSED to be that way.
I don't have much of a problem when people want to critique about something I am doing wrong, but when they are just telling me how they personally want to see me draw something, I don't get it. They just want to blandly TELL me to finish more of my drawings or on rarer occasions tell me that they personally would have liked this and this and this color instead of the ones I used. Sometimes when I am in a good mood I will be like "Yeah that is interesting, oh well" but after the fifth or sixth comment by some random shmo it is kind of testing to stay neutral.
If you want to tell me what colors to make a character or how done it should have been, commission me, then you get alllll the rein to boss me around and make me your art bitch.
Don't tell an artist how to do their job unless you are paying them >8|

Living in a hotel has one draw back, wasn't able to see any fireworks over the trees. No loss, off to the Atlus display tonight.

For someone who makes me happy...
( Cut to save space ...and for lady nipples, i suppose... )
I wanted to wait until i completed it before i uploaded it anywhere, but i'm not very good at self-restraint when it comes to art. I like this design a lot, and the figures, and well... everything... so i have to show you all before i [potentially] ruin it with finishing moves.
I am planning on finishing it, though i'm not sure how... probably graphite all the way. And digital colour? Whew, that would be time consuming.
I have a couple more pictures to do after this for people i love... so stay tuned.
For now... sleep!

whoo! holygear
my fav charecter in edenworld is Holy Gear Mashina, a mech that sort of looks like a shriner who is inspired abit offa renmazuo from xenogears. Holy is the creater of Edenworld and the technology behind the homiostasis on its surface. for the most part he is one of the oldest charecters in the story and is sort of off-kilter like the jotuns due to his exposure to the zeboin humans in the distant past. His body is basicly mostly a houseing for his brains/engine that take up 80% of his body. he is both a genious and a foreman and carrys on the religious history and ethics of the God "WAVE" the official God of the mashina. hes mostly badass except for the fact hes the size of a guardia and hes got a 'short mans" complex.
speaking of brains, its actually a minority to have both your brains in your head. what i mean by this is that mashina's brains can exsist in multiple places on the body. Lyron may have his brains in his head but Beo prolly has one of his brains in his back, and terra has one in his chest. because of this (and this applys to guardia too) you can suffer a nasty attack to your face and it doesnt necessarily equate death.
im playing with the idea of makeing the baby gouli on the side there the donate button. what do you guys think? pass or fail?

Black dragon WIP
i got commissioned to make this fiendish ugly sucker
it will be a halfsuit when done
the head is for the most part finished i am awaiting an order of "faux persian lamb" fabric (with has a scaled texture and look to it) to use for the back of the head and neck
the photos bring out the blue highlights more than they appear in person
the jaw moves and the eyes have a follow effect to them

Morrow's paws, DONE!
I bloodied Morrow's paws today after finishing making the foam core for his ribs. I took a sponge brush and just brushed red paint like hell over the paws. It looks like old, caked on blood. I even added it up farther on the arms too. I am probably gonna put in on random places on his body too, like his chest and such.

Portfolio Question
I need to update my portfolio today so I can send my resume out to another company. I've picked out a few more pieces to add, but some debate has arisen about one piece. My parents think I should add this scratchboard piece, and I don't: http://spiritwolf77.deviantart.com/art/Luke-Angst-17148902
It's old (as in freshman year of college old), it's messy, and I don't think it's a good representation of my skills, but my parents keep insisting I include it in my portfolio so I told them I'd get some additional opinions and if other people thought it was good enough, I'd include it. Soo I'm taking a poll.
Please answer honestly. I'm not looking for people to tell me this is a good piece to make me feel better. It's an old piece and I already hate it so it's not going to hurt my self esteem if you tell me you don't like it (in fact I voted 'no' in the poll). I just want honest answers as to whether or not this piece would hurt or help my portfolio.

o_o I'm really hungry. My mom told me not to eat cause were going out but then she went to work on cleaning her bathroom for like oneZILLION hours and now they are getting the dog comfortable it its crate....
Im about to drive to carls if we dont leave in like 5 seconds.
